Al-Khorayef visits Ras Al-Khair Port, inspects Maaden facilities, RCJY ops center

Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khorayef visited Ras Al-Khair Port, several facilities owned by Maaden, and the Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu’s (RCJY) operations center in Ras Al-Khair Industrial City for Mining.

 

The visit came with the aim to assess the readiness of vital facilities and monitor the efficiency of supply chains, transportation, and maritime movement, supporting business continuity and enhancing operational resilience amid regional developments.

 

At Ras Al-Khair Port, Al-Khorayef reviewed logistics operations, transportation and maritime traffic, and mineral export flows, as well as the services and supporting facilities provided by the port, which help stabilize operations, improve supply chain efficiency, and strengthen integration between industrial and mining activities.

 

The visit also included an inspection of the Maaden Phosphate Complex, where the minister was briefed on operational readiness and emergency response systems within the crisis and disaster management control room. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the highest standards of safety and sustainability, and the role of these systems in enhancing responsiveness to operational challenges and changes.

 

Al-Khorayef also visited Maaden Aluminium, where he was presented with an overview of the company’s expansion plans and production capacities, highlighting the integration between relevant entities and private sector facilities in supporting industrial and mining growth and enhancing the competitiveness of the investment environment in the Kingdom.

 

Moreover, the minister concluded his visit by touring RCJY’s operations center in Ras Al-Khair, where he reviewed the operations coordination and monitoring room, the fire station, and the field monitoring and response systems. He lauded the center’s advanced infrastructure and qualified national workforce managing these systems efficiently and professionally.

 

Accompanying the minister during the visit were RCJY President Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Salem; the Vice Minister for Mining Affairs Khalid bin Saleh Al-Mudaifer; the CEO of the Royal Commission in Jubail Mahmoud bin Saleh Al-Theeb; and the CEO of the Saudi Export Development Authority Badr bin Sulaiman Al-Harbi.
