GFOTU honors L&T for its support

On the occasion of International Workers’ Day, General Federation of Oman Trade Union (GFOTU) honored Larsen and Toubro Electromech (L&T Electromech) for the mutual respect and support extended to the trade union process.

The ceremony that took place under the patronage of His Excellence Shaikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Bakri, Minister of Manpower at GFOTU head office  also honoured four other companies.

World Labour Day, also known as International Workers' Day is a celebration of workers and their achievements, on May 1st of every year.

Addressing the celebrations, Nabhan Bin Ahmed Al Battashi, Chairman of GGFOTU said: “This day is a celebration of work as a fixed humanitarian value given that it is the pride of man and his way to achieve wealth as the main guarantor of development.”
