Golden Chicken Farms wins biosecurity leadership award and launches Saudi Arabia’s first fresh ready-to-eat chicken range

Golden Chicken Farms, one of Saudi Arabia’s leading integrated poultry producers, received the Leadership Award in Biosecurity for Safe Poultry Production at the Middle East Poultry Expo 2026, where it also entered the ready-to-eat segment with the launch of MADE READY, which the company describes as the Kingdom’s first range of fresh, fully cooked, ready-to-eat chicken.

His Excellency Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadley, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, presented the award to Yousef Al-Rashed, Chairman of the Board of Golden Chicken Farms, during the expo, held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center from 4 to 6 October. The company said the award reflects its continued commitment to quality and biosecurity across the poultry industry.

MADE READY, unveiled at the same event, drew strong interest from exhibitors and visitors.

The launch extends Golden Chicken’s portfolio beyond fresh, marinated and further-processed poultry into the convenience category, as demand grows among Saudi consumers for meals that combine quality, nutrition and speed.

MADE READY products are made from fresh, chilled chicken sourced through the company’s integrated production system and are fully cooked before packaging. The range includes breast fillet, thigh fillet and mixed cuts, in flavours including Smoked Chicken and Mango & Chilli, with more flavours to be added soon, the company said.

The products come in microwave-safe trays and need only three minutes of heating before serving. The range is high in protein and low in carbohydrates and fat, with nutritional values printed on the packaging and a QR code linking to a macro calculator that helps consumers match each meal to their daily dietary needs.

Abdulwahed Alobaed, Chief Executive Officer of Golden Chicken Farms, said the launch reflected changing consumer needs in the Kingdom.

“At Golden Chicken, we believe innovation starts with understanding the evolving needs of our consumers,” he said. “With MADE READY, we are not simply introducing a new product; we are creating a new category in the Saudi market — one that brings together the quality of fresh chicken, clear nutritional value and the convenience today’s lifestyles demand.”

He added: “Our goal is to make a good choice easier, without compromising on quality or taste.”

The company said the range targets consumers with active lifestyles, health-conscious buyers and busy families.

The company said the launch forms part of its continued investment in innovation and local production, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 goals to strengthen food security and self-sufficiency.

MADE READY will initially be available through Golden Chicken’s online store.
