Industry Ministry issues 364 licenses worth SAR 4.5B in June

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 364 new industrial licenses in June, while 164 factories began production during the same month, the ministry said in a report.

The ministry’s official spokesman Jarah Al-Jarah said the monthly report tracking industrial indicators showed that investments associated with new licenses amounted to approximately SAR 4.46 billion. These projects are expected to create more than 3,138 job opportunities across various regions of the Kingdom.

Investments in factories that started production in June totaled SAR 1.88 billion, generating 2,567 new jobs. This underpinned the ongoing expansion of the Saudi industrial base and the rising pace of factories entering into force, the statement added.

The total number of existing industrial facilities in Saudi Arabia rose by approximately 14% to 14,228 facilities at the end of June 2026, compared with 12,486 factories in June 2025. The total also increased by around 3% from May 2026, when the number stood at 13,870 factories.
