TAWZEA Wins Three Awards for Excellence in Water Infrastructure, Operations and Sustainability at SHARAKAT Awards 2026

International Water Distribution Company (TAWZEA), a leading Saudi water infrastructure developer and operator, has received three prestigious awards at the SHARAKAT Awards 2026, during the Water Projects Success Partners Recognition Ceremony, held under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen AlFadley, Saudi Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture.

The awards recognize excellence in project delivery, operational performance, innovation, and sustainability, highlighting TAWZEA’s growing contribution to the development and operation of strategic water infrastructure across Saudi Arabia.

Three independent sewage treatment plant (ISTP) projects in which TAWZEA participates were recognized. Madinah-3 ISTP received the Project Delivery Excellence Award – Private-Sector Water Treatment Projects, while Tabuk-2 ISTP was honored with the Operational Excellence Award – Private-Sector Water Treatment Projects. Meanwhile, Taif ISTP received the Innovation and Sustainability Award.

This triple recognition reflects TAWZEA’s expanding role in Saudi Arabia’s water sector and its capabilities across the infrastructure value chain, from project development and delivery to long-term operations, innovation, and environmental sustainability.

TAWZEA is among Saudi Arabia’s established private-sector water infrastructure companies, participating in the development and operation of four independent sewage treatment plants in Taif, Madinah, Buraydah, and Tabuk, with a combined treatment capacity of approximately 540,000 cubic meters per day.

Beyond its ISTP portfolio, the company plays an active role in municipal and industrial water and wastewater operations and maintenance across the Kingdom, contributing to improved service efficiency, infrastructure reliability, and the advancement of private-sector participation in the water industry.

The awards also underscore the strength of TAWZEA’s strategic partnerships with ACCIONA, Cobra, and Tamasuk, alongside the project companies, contractors, and operational teams whose collective expertise and commitment have contributed to the successful delivery and operation of these strategic infrastructure assets.
