MENA Fintech & Insurtech Festival 2025 Concludes in Doha, Accelerating Digital Transformation Across the Region

The MENA Fintech & Insurtech Festival 2025 successfully concluded its fourth edition at the Doha Exhibition & Convention Centre (DECC), bringing together global and regional leaders in financial services, insurance, technology, innovation, and regulation. The two-day event, convened influential voices to explore the future of digital finance and insurance across the MENA region.

 

This year’s festival debuted an expanded dual-focus format that united fintech and insurtech under one platform. Designed as a dynamic B2B matchmaking hub, the event connected startups, investors, insurers, financial institutions, regulators, and technology providers—reinforcing its mission to drive innovation, enhance financial and insurance inclusion, and accelerate digital transformation throughout the region.

 

The opening ceremony featured a keynote address from the Director General/CEO of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He highlighted how innovation—powered by mobile technology, artificial intelligence, open banking, and embedded finance—is reshaping global financial systems and deepening financial inclusion across Africa, MENA, and the wider Global South. His remarks emphasized the rise of Bank 4.0 and called for the creation of a unified MENA–Africa digital fintech corridor aimed at building resilient, inclusive, and future-ready financial ecosystems.

 

The festival’s program included high-level keynotes, panel discussions, fireside chats, and interactive workshops covering a diverse range of topics. Themes explored included Real-World Assets (RWA), AI in Islamic fintech, digital banking models, fintech investment trends, embedded finance, microinsurance for underserved populations, and the pivotal role of cross-sector collaboration in advancing resilient digital economies.
