National Water Company Constructs and Operates 5 Water Reservoirs in Riyadh at SR +128m

The National Water Company (NWC) announced the completion of a project to construct five water reservoirs in western Riyadh, as part of the second phase of the strategic water plan for the capital, Riyadh, at a total cost exceeding 128 million Saudi Riyals.

 

The company explained that the project included the construction of a water reservoir with a capacity of 100,000 cubic meters, along with four other reservoirs, each with a capacity of 20,000 cubic meters, bringing the total storage capacity to 180,000 cubic meters, in addition to the construction of a pumping station with a total capacity of 125,000 cubic meters per day.

 

NWC noted that the project aims to improve the operational efficiency of the daily distribution system in several districts in western Riyadh.

 

The company stated that it is continuing to implement infrastructure projects at an accelerated pace to improve operational efficiency, enhance the quality of services provided, and keep pace with urban growth and the increasing demand for water in the capital, Riyadh, in support of water security. 

 

The National Water Company emphasized that these efforts are part of its strategic objectives to provide sustainable water services, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
