The National Water Company (NWC) announced the completion of the project to connect the water reservoir in Ghran city to the water filling station (Al-Ashyab) in Khulais Governorate, as part of its plans to enhance the efficiency of operations in the water distribution system and improve the quality of the services provided.
NWC confirmed that the project is part of its operational initiatives aimed at developing infrastructure and increasing operational efficiency through the implementation of rapid and sustainable solutions that improve service standard, and enhance the efficiency of the water distribution system.
The company stated: “The project involved the construction of an 8,000-meter-long water pipeline to serve some 10,000 beneficiaries in Ghran, Khulais governorate. The project will reduce the time required to fill the operational reservoir in Ghran to less than 24 hours—down from three-to-four days previously—ensuring that water is pumped to relevant districts to meet customer needs and facilitate uninterrupted water supply for all beneficiaries. It will also help reduce the demand for water tankers, thereby enhancing the reliability of water distribution and improving the efficiency of the services provided to beneficiaries.
