Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu Highlights Strategic Partnerships, Key Achievements in Q2 2026

The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu announced its achievements for the second quarter of 2026, reflecting its continued efforts to support industrial development, international partnerships, and excellence in education and innovation.
During the second quarter, the industrial investment sector witnessed the signing of a partnership agreement between Entab Industrial Holding Company and China’s Seas Seven to strengthen the aluminum industry in Jazan City for Primary and Downstream Industries (JCPDI).
The quarter also saw the signing of several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to support education and innovation, including a MoU with Jazan Integrated Gasification and Power Company to support the training and development of Saudi youth.
Moreover, the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu signed a cooperation agreement with the Education and Training Evaluation Commission to enhance training quality, a MoU with Sustainable Innovations Company to promote innovation, and a cooperation agreement with Shell Saudi Arabia to encourage students to pursue creativity and innovation in the field of electric vehicles.
In the field of strategic projects and specialized services, JCPDI Port introduced incentives of up to 50% to attract shipping lines and support investors, while the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu in Yanbu launched the hydrogen bus trial to promote awareness of clean energy applications.
On the conferences and exhibitions front, the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu participated in Hannover Messe 2026 to strengthen its industrial presence. Also, they participated in Riyadh International Industry Week 2026 as part of their ongoing efforts to showcase the investment and industrial opportunities offered by the commission's cities.
As part of its efforts to strengthen international relations, the commission received a number of official delegations and visitors. The president of the commission hosted the Indian ambassador to discuss strengthening industrial partnerships and investments in the commission's cities, while the Pakistani ambassador and a delegation from the Embassy of Indonesia visited JCPDI.
Building on its achievements in education and innovation, students and staff of the commission recorded a series of accomplishments at the national and international levels. Students from commission schools won several medals in the Kingdom-wide KAUST Mathematics Competition, while 10 students from the commission's industrial education institutions in Jubail and Yanbu earned medals in the finals of the National Science and Mathematics Olympiad (NSMO).
The education sector also recorded a number of individual achievements. Saleh Alharbi represented the commission in the International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad, while the commission’s Innovation Valley secured second place in the MRC Global Olympiad 2026.
In addition, Mohammed Nasser Al-Asmari won first place globally in computational biology and informatics at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) 2026, while Tamim Khan received a special award.
Al-Asmari also earned a silver medal at the North African Olympiad in Informatics (NAOI), and Youssef Bassiouni won a gold medal at the International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (ITEX) 2026 in Kuala Lumpur.
The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu continues to advance its development objectives through an integrated vision that combines strong investment partnerships, robust international relations, the excellence of national talent, and a solid institutional foundation. In doing so, it affirms its position as a leading model for comprehensive industrial development in Saudi Arabia and a key pillar in achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
