The National Water Co. (NWC) will introduce revised water and wastewater tariffs for residential, non-residential, and government customers from Jan. 1, 2027, the company said in a statement.
The changes include setting four consumption tiers for residential customers and consolidating non-residential consumption into a single tier, with revised rates for both sectors. The monthly meter service fee will be replaced by a fixed monthly charge based on meter diameter for residential and non-residential customers.
For residential customers, the fixed charge will also depend on the number of additional units. For government customers, the consumption rate will be revised, while the fixed monthly charge will remain unchanged.
NWC said total bills will depend on consumption volume and the applicable rate, meter diameter, the fixed monthly charge, and the number of residential units.
