Saudia extends domestic ticket validity to one year
The national carrier also announced starting a new mechanism called "Reserve and pay" so as to enable more domestic passengers to avail its services.
According to the mechanism, passengers can take advantage of the available seats on an instant basis instead of the current system of allowing a set period of time to purchase the reserved tickets. The new mechanism will limit the scope for unauthorized middlemen to sell available seats at a premium. The fare for rebooking or changing travel date will range between SR50 and SR140 plus 50 percent of the value of the ticket in case of no-show without canceling the ticket, the Saudi Press Agency reported quoting a Saudia statement.
